Lifting her bleary eyes from the keyboard...

Well that's a fine how-do-you-do. It's August already.

It's been a looong summer of authoring. About which I am not complaining. It's all my choice:  the missed summer laziness, the hours spent with butt-glue fully set, the wrestling over whether it should be this word or that word, or hell, what's a synonym for it?

Now, at the far end of summer, I'm taking a moment to sip on an indulgent beverage in the middle of an afternoon because it's important, I think, to recognize the tiny milestones in my fierce inch-by-inch battle to finish this book. 

Which milestone?

Why the one where I submit a chunk of the new book to an agent. Actually to three agents! 

I know! Traditional publishing?!

Maybe.

Giving up a chunk of control and a chunk of possible revenue in exchange for distribution and promotion across the wider reading world?  

We'll see.

I'm not planning to chase an agent very hard. But if it happens, that might be okay too.
