After brainstorming a playlist for the Flying Scot Wife-Husband Championship regatta party –– Bon Jovi! The Carpenters! Sir Mix-a-Lot! Weezer! Pure Prairie League! –– well, I am not done with it, but the internal jukebox is pleading for a break.

Thanks to the civilizing influence of National Public Radio, here's the music that I am listening to now:

Believe me, after mixing The Dixie Cup's "Going to the Chapel" somewhere in the same hour as Marvin Gaye's "Let's Get It On" on the playlist -- I can take a big dose of this strong black coffee!

Not to mention, but mentioning: Brad Paisley's "Ticks," Ella Fitzgerald's "I've Got A Crush On You," AC/DC's "You Shook Me All Night Long," Canned Heat's "Let's Work Together," Nina Simone's "Do I Move You?" and Sinead OConner's version of "You Do Something To Me."
Love may be strange, but love-songs are stranger.

you sucked me in and I can't escape. Damn you Mrs Linton. It's like someone who walks by your desk and hums a few bars of "Alice's restaurant" and it sticks in your head all day. so to hopefully to get it out of my system here it goes.
